I like them and actually think they're really talented...👍

Kinda reminds me of Buckets the drummer...

Today I will say I found Angine de Poitrine interesting and entertaining.  Tomorrow I will wake up and wonder what was I thinking?  What are they thinking?

being a fan of Prog, I found them interesting, ...

they certainly can play, gimic is ok, but I couldn't or wouldn't be watching it all the time.

I dig the Horse and dog heads doing Ace of Spades..

Made it to 1:02 before I hit stop button. Even that was too long.

lol - It starts rocking at the 3 minute mark.

This is the kind of music they play in Hell when you're trying to get to sleep.

Word of mouth on this "band" is spreading fast!  One of my friends posted about them a couple of weeks ago and then two more who don't even know the first one posted about them in the last couple of days.  They are so NOT me, but I really like them.  The drum beats and basslines are pretty cool and I think the weird costumes are hilarious.

I kind of bristle at the suggestion that it is progressive rock. If anything, that strikes me more as “Art rock” but what’s in a name?

I’m reminded of some very fringe, experimental art rock by Pink Floyd. “Songs” like Saucerful of Secrets and Interstellar Overdrive definitely challenged the notion of what constitutes a song

PF was definitely pushing some boundaries with these tunes, albeit without the goofy f-ed up costumes.

ok...here's the thing...

I've watched this several times now.  I can't seem to stop.

The drummer (who is an animal, by the way) is cracking me the f**k up with that acetylene tanks helmet and his dangling nose penis, swaying as he plays.

I sent the clip to a non-musician buddy of mine because I knew he would pee himself laughing at it.

He asked me if they were serious.
I didn't understand the question.
"I mean," he said, "do they know they're ridiculous, or are they trying to be serious?"
I said, "I think if at any point in your life, you find yourself applying polka dot paint to your bare feet before a performance, you've pretty much thrown 'serious' out the window."

He said he hadn't. noticed that, which I found curious in itself.

...and what's up with the frets on this instrument?

ETA:

"Angine de poitrine" in English is angina or angina pectoris. It refers to chest pain, discomfort, or pressure caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle, commonly resulting from coronary artery disease. It is often described as a squeezing or tight feeling in the chest.

...and "Angine De Poitrine Latrine" is pain, discomfort or pressure caused by a lack of ruffage in one's diet.

...chest pain, discomfort, or pressure caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle...

Reminds me of when I was a kid and was playing King Crimson's "Discipline" on a loop.
On one occasion, when the title track was playing, my mother called to me from the other room.

"Michael...what is that?"
"It's King Crimson"
"Well it's making me nervous!"

Microtonal mayhem, I dig it.

The only thing you need for that is shitty tuners.

As far as the polka dot design goes, I'll bet somebody's mom is gonna get pissed off about her bedsheets getting screwed up.

Let's take a minute to consider how this video is taking over the internet.

1,200,000 views in 12 days. And 10,000 comments.
Seems a lot of people are sharing this video with their friends.

The comments are gold, by the way.

"It's abundantly clear that these guys are on the frontlines of whatever this is."

"This is the Future we were Primused"

"Finally, music 2 has dropped"

"when even the riff has a french accent"

"Best sounding salt and pepper shakers on the current market"
