edgar_allan_poe Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Nope, they're the QP AlNiCo studs.Cool as hell... Not sure why I see the slots.
Disturber Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Imagine that in Black with gold hardware and three humbuckers..... And string panties, no top, a little whipped cream on the cherries I was happy that I didn't "need" any more Hamer´s. But damn, this gives goosebumps. edit: And creme pickup rings. I need to lay down...
Ethan Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 "Dont put your curse on my family, Ricky Bobby!!!"
HamerHokie Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 "Dont put your curse on my family, Ricky Bobby!!!"Yep, Ricky Bobby was the first thing I thought of when I saw the new model's name. What's next, the Hamer Bristol? Martinsville? The Ricky Bobby graphic model?
Ethan Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 They could name the next one after the big speedway that is but a few minutes down the road from me....the Hamer Lowe's Motor Speedway!
hardheartedbill Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Nope, they're the QP AlNiCo studs.Cool as hell... Not sure why I see the slots.that the reflection of the string I think, gives the appearance of slots
tobereeno Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Where have I been?? I was just thinking I need a good fixed bridge guitar (seeing as I don't have a single one) that I can quickly change tunings on. BLADE SWITCH. BLADE SWITCH!!!!!!!! I'll take mine in BCR burst(I forget what they're calling it now), no binding, matching headstock, rosewood and boomerangs, SD '59/SD screamin' demon (bottom mount), and if they'd do it, a reverse TLE headstock. Just gotta stop spending money on my car. Hey, Hamer should make a guitar called the Skyline
KeyOfZ Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Um.....I......but....... Holy crap....what a cool idea! I'll take mine with a maple fretboard, jumbo frets and a Wilkinson with locking tuners please. Kinda like a TelePro or a SuperTLE.
Willie G. Moseley Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Well, hot dayum! Do ya get a discount if ya live within a 75-mile radius of the speedway (like I do)?
edgar_allan_poe Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Hmmm I think this is the color for me Just what you need...another kidney bean colored guitar! (Poe ducks to avoid Mike C's right hook)
sw686blue Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Hmmm I think this is the color for me Just what you need...another kidney bean colored guitar! (Poe ducks to avoid Mike C's right hook) As long as it's not double stained!
savethematches Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I'd never be able to afford it, but MAN DO I LIKE IT!!!! I'm imagining a trans red over the quilt, ebony board, boomers, twin humbuckers, and six in line headstock.
BadgerDave Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Add a bound F-hole, lose the victory, color it vintage orange (or maybe teal sparkle!) and I'm suddenly very interested. I like Dan's idea of a piezo, but I bet it would sound a lot better if you substituted a Duotone bridge for the sustainblock. Will the pre-trashed relic version be called the "Bristol"?
Guest cruster Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Will the pre-trashed relic version be called the "Bristol"? Now, there's something I had never thought of...faux relic Hamers.
sw686blue Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Will the pre-trashed relic version be called the "Bristol"?Bite your tongue! Let's leave the relic stuff to Fender and Gibson.
burningyen Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I would be more inclined to buy this if it had a 3-barrel Tele bridge or just a tunomatic, but I'm definitely curious how it sounds with the SustainBlock. Hot design for sure, though!Oh, and I'm thinking goldtop....
serial Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 All this talk about adding or subtracting stuff, I have to say that Hamer did a pretty damned good job of hitting the mark with this one as is! Looks great-I can't wait to play/hear one!
Sentinel Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 All this talk about adding or subtracting stuff, I have to say that Hamer did a pretty damned good job of hitting the mark with this one as is! Looks great-I can't wait to play/hear one! Me too.... exactly so! Ehrm... just one litte thing... add a bellycut... please! .
John E Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 So without the Monaco-style "shelf," how did they do the standard Hamer neck joint? IS this a mortise-and-tenon style neck joint instead of the standard big-honkin'-dovetail?
silentman Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 If you guys want a belly cut, no chambers for you!Cool guitar.
Travis Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Yeah, lose some weight both in your bellies and the guitar by keeping the chambers.
