Abaco Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Well, I am now a Dad. My lovely wife gave birth to our first child Tuesday. Man, what an experience. She, and our son are doing well and I'm going back to sleep with them at the hospital tonight. They induced the labor after the kid was a week late and her labor progressed so fast that we never got the epidural. That worried me, as her contractions got really severe really quickly. But, when she knew the kid was on his way she was the toughest and most determined person I've ever known. It was amazing. 20 minutes of pushing like mad and out came our boy. Women are amazing.Happy Father's Day to my fellow Dad's here.
Guest cruster Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Congratulations! Just try to remember you're raising an adult, not a child, and you'll do well.

Willie G. Moseley Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I was in the delivery room when the Princess was born 15 1/2 years ago, and IMO the word "womb" came about because it is onomatopoeia-related...on accounta that's what it sounded like when the Princess came outta there: "WOOM!!!"
savethematches Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Congratulations! It seems that I love my daughter more each day. I didn't know that was possible eight years ago when she was born, but it sure is true.
