Indeed, some very nice stuff up on the block, not the least of which is the Standard.

Best of luck with the sales!

I asked once before what happened to him, but didn't get an answer. He was a funny dude, and his avatar pics were also amusing.

Lovely Standard and a very cool CU24 as well. Plus he has the balls to do no reserve auctions!

He's still on the board at least once pretty much every day, just decided to stop posting for whatever reason when he hit 10,000 posts.

That's a cool Standard, for sure. No worries with any of Mike's stuff - he wouldn't own it if it wasn't top notch.

Yup, sweet standard, and awesome sense of humor...

Q: Hello. My name is Renata from Budapest,Hungary. Possible the shipping to Budapest? Thank you Renata

A: No, sorry. Not the possible.

Then there's this blistering attack from his Robin auction:

Q: I can see the body's refinished; is the headstock the original finish?

A: No, you can't see that, because it hasn't been. It is all original paint. Even the solder joints are original.

Q: So the orange peel on the back is original?

A: Yeah. There's some on the front too. You're expecting Anderson quality from the Tokai plant in Japan. Not gonna happen. Here's what should happen, however: you bid what you think it's worth and/or what you'd like to pay for it and keep your conjecture, wild accusations and BS to yourself.

Classic stuff.

I hope he is reading this. Damn You Sir! That Standard is Tits and nobody wants my bass or this would be mine. Just what i've been looking for.... I'm crying inside. Already i'm crying on the outside.

Oh, we talked about kizanski's guitar before. I'm just lazy to select the thread at the moment.

Another devastating exchange in one of his other auctions:

Q: what's the skinny with the crack in the headstock and whiteish crud covering it?

A: The only crack is in your pipe, Ellery Queen. There's no crack in the headstock, or anywhere else for that matter. There must be whiteish crud in your eyes if you think you see a crack. The blemish that you see is the lacquer sagging from being on a guitar stand or hanger for an extended period of time. But hey, thanks for asking.

 See GIGANTIC BALLS!

While the seller in question does indeed have BALLCE to spare, I don't think that's what's required to dress down some know-it-all asshole with an agenda on eBay. Simple self-respect should get you there.

And while I do think sellers on eBay should conduct themselves as a business with regard to truth in advertising, timely shipping and the like, under no circumstance should they feel obligated to conduct themselves as a business with regard to putting up with presumptive pricks and other shitty customers who are trying to run a game.

shouldnt that realisticly bring $1500-1800????

Still time left, it should hit the low end of that range......else I'll be doing some frantic bidding in the final seconds

Sometimes I really miss Kiz around here. Even though he was responsible for searing my retinas permanently with an image of that big, hairy ass (with various faces poking out - such an imagination. That was all imaginary, right?!?), there were definately some redeeming aspects to his presence here.

Thanks for highlighting that exchange, MC - that was a much needed laugh!

This one is pretty NICE too, solid freakin gold Jerry!

Ask seller a question
