Bloozguy Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 It's on Craigslist here (Minneapolis) for only $2700
Carl.B Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 He must of deleted his old CL listing and upped the price. It was there this morning for $2500.
diablo175 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 very nice coloring but the non-stadium logo is a bust. I'd actually consider that; <gasp> a non- Floyded ax, but not for that kinda scratch.
crunchee Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 very nice coloring but the non-stadium logo is a bust.Let us know when you find a Standard (not a Blitz) with one of those!
kizanski Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 That price isn't nearly as bad as the $7000 Scarab bass.
Toadroller Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 It's entertaining how the sought after, inflated prices are bringing more Hamers to the market. Agreed, at inflated asking prices, but many of those will still be out there as the buyers speak the real value. End result? More product on the market, probably at reasonably inflated prices. That's a good thing, I think.
bubs_42 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 very nice coloring but the non-stadium logo is a bust. Let us know when you find a Standard (not a Blitz) with one of those! I know where you can find one.
cmatthes Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 very nice coloring but the non-stadium logo is a bust. Let us know when you find a Standard (not a Blitz) with one of those! That was my very first custom ordered Hamer...in 1990 (delivered in early '91): http://smg.photobucket.com/user/cmatthes/media/My91Standard.jpg.html'>
Ting Ho Dung Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 very nice coloring but the non-stadium logo is a bust. Let us know when you find a Standard (not a Blitz) with one of those! That was my very first custom ordered Hamer...in 1990 (delivered in early '91): Do you still have it?
Disturber Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Very nice flames though. And you can't get one new any more. I guess that might bring the prices up on these beuties, in the longer run.
Crwth145 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 They should ALL go for that... True, this... ^^^ I'd actually consider making an offer over 2k on this one if it had a smaller neck.
BillW Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 That price isn't nearly as bad as the $7000 Scarab bass.no kidding ...that was mental..are we sure he didn't add an extra "0"

cynic Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I know Polara says good things about the First Act custom shop guitars, but this might be stretching it a bit.First Act Sheena prototype
crunchee Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 It doesn't have to be a "name brand" or a high-end item, to have had a huge price hike. Since when did good quality tube/valve preamp shields start getting pricey? I HATE the cheap imported aluminum preamp tube shields, because they're too soft, and flex and bind on the tube base, making removal a real hassle...even when they're spring loaded and with the bayonet mount. The listing below is just an example of how much good quality made ones are going for nowadays (no affiliation):http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Cinch-TS103U02-J-Slot-Tube-Shield-w-springs-for-12AX7-12AU7-Tubes-/360551969853?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item53f292743d
Armitage Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 A used Standard Custom with dings... $2900... it's about time prices came up.
cmatthes Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Prices only go up if they start selling at those prices. People can ask all they want (I'd love to get that for mine, sure!)
deadringer Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Well if you click on the original listing in the OP, it says it sold. I guess the seller got the $2975 he was asking.
