scottcald Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Superman Mike Shishkov sent an email with a teaser pic of the top I originally wanted it in tobaccoburst, but after seeing all of the other awesome finishes I am undecided. It's a tough decision, but I agree with the go with your gut. You could always get another in a different color later
RobB Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Korina-tint body and a yellowed, vintage-natural top. I know it’s kind of boring, but the figuring/grain is so nice on this body it would be a shame to cover it up.Actually, a light, cherry trans on the back and a light, faded/yellowed tobacco s/b would really look nice. The green burst, too, but with a light, mahogany/walnut body stain.
Joe G Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 A couple of new top shots: Tough decision time is here. That top looks killer as is.
BTMN Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Vintage Natural Front and back or Brown Sugar top with light amber back.
Joe G Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 35 is in the house and Mike has hit another home run. Mike, thank you and your fine family for the opportunity to participate in the Ultimate run. Please feel free to post any pics.
serial Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The top color NAILS the old 4Digit Standard bursts perfectly.
a.bandini Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hey Joe, lovely axe! It's a beauty; congratulations. It's a paternal twin to #0029, and would be an identical twin, except for the back. Way cool!
BubbaVO Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 That top is gorgeous, but that back is beautiful. Every detail works so perfectly. Enjoy.
gorch Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Very nice solution, especiall for the back and neck. Congrats to a fantastic guitar!
