HamerCustomEr Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 How can anybody ask that much money and only include one photo?

BadgerDave Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Am I missing something or is the guitar precariously perched vertically with the top of the case resting on the floor? Looks like a disaster ready to happen. Also, why is the market suddenly flooded with green Hamer doublenecks?

rickrock999 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Another guitar that will sit there indefinitely.
Eli Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 If you've got a St Paddy's day gig with either a Rush or Eagles tribute band, AND they're paying you 25K, you'd be a fool not to get it!

I find it troubling enough when people pose their guitars next to a swimming pool.

mirrorimij Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I love that guitar. Not 25k worth though. You would have to take an x ray image of that guitar to see the real beauty.

Sparky Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 The same seller has a 1997 korina standard for $15k, and a korina moderne for $10k. Is this what guys do when their wives insist they sell some stuff, but they don't actually want to sell it? "Look, honey; I've got them up for sale!"

If they really needed the money quick, y'know, because of a D-I-V-O-R-C-E or their bank went belly up, then they might ask for considerably less. Or, you may just have to wait a little longer and see what happens...who knows?
bruce919 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 I think that one was at Flynn Guitars in Chicago for many years.

currypowder Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Now THAT'S how you sell a guitar, one pic and a one word description. I do remember the double neck from years back, I think it was listed on CL for ever. It's hard to take anyone asking 5 figures seriously they don't know the difference between a Moderne and Futura. Or how to spell.
veatch Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 I suspect the seller has no idea what it is worth, so ask high and see what offers you get... A flood of offers for $350 may be in order...

Especially after the guitar sat there on sale for months. Luckily my woman don't care what I spend my money on. She has her own.

Personally, not me. If I’m selling, I’m selling. And when I’m buying, it’s always a conversation. She typically doesn’t care but just wants to be looped in.

The prices, and the lack of effort in promoting the items, appear to be incompatible with each other. 3 hours ago, veatch said: I suspect the seller has no idea what it is worth, so ask high and see what offers you get... Joe K Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 As an FYI, this guitar is now for sale at The Music Gallery in Highland Park, IL for a reasonable $13K.
