gorch Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 In the house for a while. Business duties kept me from taking pictures and posting. Anyways, I think its a nice guitar as pics may show. Price had been fair and shipping over the Alps, down from Italy to Germany, went surprisingly fast. With uber packaging from @alextazy it had arrived safe and sound. No big playing time yet, I'm thinking of taking it to a clinic the week after next week. The DeArmond pickup(s) look and sound great. The neck pickup is an original, where the bridge pickup is a DA cover over SD59. As a 2007, it appears to be of the final workshop period. Can't believe it is that long time ago. I had an Artist in mind for even more years. Wishes are eventually fulfilled. Pics or it doesn't count. Enjoy!
donner Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Artists are some very special species. You can feel them breath at higher volumes. Congrats and a WOW for the Paneuropean deal! Love that: Have a Standard bought from Scotland and an Artist P90 from Sweden.
Disturber Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Lovely. You did good. If from Italy, you got to play O Sole Mio on it everyday.
topekatj Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Sweet burst! Enjoy! I also like the dot inlays and have trouble keeping the model names straight— would an artist with trapezoid (or god help us, victory) inlays be an artist custom? Not meaning to nitpick but black knobs may suit that burst better.

Dutchman Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I have bought and sold almost every species of Hamer. The 2 Artist's I bought long ago are in the never to be sold guitar rack. They are splendid guitars!! Congrat's 👍

Sentinel Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Congrats! Looks like a very nice guitar! " As a 2007, it appears to be of the final workshop period." Yes, just like mine - I have got an '07 too... ! 😃
gorch Posted August 7, 2023 Author Posted August 7, 2023 The Artist joined me for a one week guitar workshop last week. It plays and sounds fantastic. I took the Newport for backup, but kept it in the room. It’s nice to look at too.
