BTMN Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Thanks to brother Fung for the heads up! http://www.edroman.com/guitars/hamer.htm See anything familiar?
RoyB Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Thanks to brother Fung for the heads up! http://www.edroman.com/guitars/hamer.htm See anything familiar? Ya made the big time Gene now Ed is ripping you off
atquinn Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 How he has avoided being beaten to (or nearly-to) death thus far is completely beyond me.-Austin
gatorbyte007 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Thats Funny, but so Ed Roman!!!!!! Nice Impact Bass Also For Sale.
HAMERMAN Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Gotta love the line "No longer available from Hamer"!
RoyB Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Gotta love the line "No longer available from Hamer"! Should say "never was available from Hamer"
Brooks Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 he called keefs standard an "explorer", and a newport 12 string a duotone. doofus
clmazza Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Ed is such a tool! Did you shoot him an email, Gene?
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Why is his "Hamer Chaparral" a Californian w/o the slant-27 fretboard? Not to mention Chaparral is mis-spelled.Is it a Chaparral neck stuck on an Ed Roman Cali-copy body?!?And what the hell is this?Even considering there is no such thing as a "California" model, it's not even a Californian. And the serial numbers are impossible on this. There is no way I can see to have a 1982 Hamer with a serial number of 80484.
Steve Haynie Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 So, Gene, what did you name your guitar? Roman might as well take that name from you, too. Did Roman really buy out all of Hamer's remaining stock of sustain block bridges in 1995?
burningyen Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 If ever there were a time to assert your copyright in an image, I think this is it.
cmatthes Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Interesting to see he's making Hamer copies now too. I thought he got in hot water back in the East Coast Music (CT) days for doing that...Impact bass, anyone?http://www.edroman.com/guitars/abstract/interceptor.htm
MCChris Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 What a dick. Dave's Guitars should get on him as well about using the image of that Keith Richards Standard.
Steve Haynie Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Notice that there are no Music Man guitars on his site. Somehow Ernie Ball/Music Man nailed Roman in court and he can no longer sell any of their products.

MCChris Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 If'n yer gunna copy the Boomers, at least get them right...And that butt-ugly Baker-esque headstock has GOT to go!
Hamerica Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 How he has avoided being beaten to (or nearly-to) death thus far is completely beyond me. -Austin Austin, Have you ever seen him? It would take a small army who packed a lunch to complete that task. Matter of fact, if you bring the lunch, he might just whip their ass for it. Hamerica

Hamerica ;) Dude's an ogre, alright... and whatever you do, don't touch his guitars!
serial Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 He's a fucktarded asshat who seems to be getting even more delerious as time passes. I had difficulty finding a single correct piece of information about any of the Hamer stuff he apparently has on his site. A lot of hacked up refins with non-original parts and some questionable Hamer lineage as well.
atquinn Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Deleterious + Delirous = Delerious! -Austin PS. The best part is how perfectly it fits everything you have to say about Ed.
JohnnyB Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 See anything familiar? What am I missing? There's the elusive Hamer WTF model: Was that a home project of yours, Gene?
atquinn Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Gene with an assist from fine luthier Ben Chafin if memory serves.-Austin
murkat Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Hey Gene, why is a pic of your guitar on Roman's website?I dont get it.
