25th and 30th. Both great, but my fear of causing them harm was greater. Not a knock on the 25th, but that 30th was probably the best guitar I've ever owned.

My first two Hamers. I was young. Stupid. Hamers were plentiful and cheap.

The "cold dead fingers Strat," a black '98 American Standard Roadhouse Strat with Texas Specials I picked up off eBay when I started playing again. I put in a Callaham bridge block and a base plate under the bridge pickup and have never had a better sounding Strat. Sold it to @Punkavenger when the neck became too small - again, young and stupid, I didn't know about replacement necks. I did trade PA out of the pickups, however, so I still have those waiting around for a body to show up.

Incidentally, the green Strat was among the most expensive and yet deadest, worst sounding Strats I've ever owned. I was really glad when that one left.

97 PRS McCarty Goldtop. Bought it used in 99, it was a good one. Part of the neck was flamed Mahogany. Regret selling it off in about 16-17' time frame. 

Late 90's EBMM Axis Supersport, had the big pickguard, had a really great neck. I think traded it even for a 79 Sunburst. 

89's Scotty Hill Sunburst with the Floyd rose.

Probably around 80% of all the ones that I sold. Not that I want them all, just that they would have become worth so much more. Assuming I had had the cash to keep them and a huge safe space to store them....😉

90? 91? Gibson Explorer I bought new in high school with hay baling and Xmas money.  Traded for a Crate amp sometime around 94/95.  I needed a giggable amp at the time, and my little Gorilla amp weren't gonna cut it.
The line to kick my ass starts around the corner of the building.  

 

95 Gibson Les Paul Special doublecut TV Yellow,  special ordered.  At the time, I was told "Hey, Gibson is making the doublecut Junior in TV Yellow like you're always on about.  Wanna order one?" Hell fuggin yes I wanna order one.  It was NOT a Junior in fact.  It was a Special.  Come to find out, in the catalog of the time it was designated something like Les Paul Junior II (reserves right to be way wrong).   
I did truly love that lil French's Mustard yellow colored bastard so much though.  I'd know it if I saw it again.  Finish burn on the back of the neck in two spots, and then two more strips of burn in across the bottom edge from spending too much time in a guitar stand with the yellow rubber thingies.   Those are no es bueno for nitro finishes, y'all. 
Sold it and darn near all the rest of my P90 equipped guitars around 2004 after landing a 1957 LP Junior TV Yellow singlecut and 1961 SG/LP Jr that both just flat out smoked. Why have reissues when you've got a pair of real ones?  I iz dum.  We had something, you and me.  

2001 Gibson EDS 1275.  Found it on ebay with a BIN of $1500.  It was practically new, save for one small chip on the headstock edge.  Played it for about 10 years, when I suddenly got it into my head what a colossal doucheknuckle I had to look like while playing cover songs with it for the lulz at dive bars.   Sold it for $2500 ish, was kind of a hard sell at the time.  Next time I got nostalgic for a doubleneck, they're asking $5k plus for these things on the used market.   The six string neck was MASSIVE sounding.  Wish I'd kept it for recording. 

2003 Gibson ES 335.  Candy Apple Red from the factory.   Bought it new off the rack at Sigler's Music in Fort Snort, AR.  I've seen exactly one CAR 335 since.  (fairly confident it wasn't the my old one either) Sold it to fund some other dumbass purchase I had to have at the time.  

CS Charvel Eldritch Hot Rod Flame.   I wanted it to sound like Ratt/Warren D.  It did not. It sounded like a strat. Being played at the bridge. Single coil. ew. 
I couldn't deal with the Floyd at the time.   Nowadays, I can deal with a Floyd.  I bet I coulda made it sound more to my liking with a pickup swap.  I bet it was that blasted JB pickup the whole time.  

1979 Les Paul Custom.  My first real good Les Paul. Sold it to my buddy, realized after a few months what a smooth eff up that was, traded him a gold top R7 and some money on his end to get it back.   But I did get it back, which is showing changed behavior on my end. Which leads us to...

2001 Gibson Les Paul Historic R7.   see above.  A rare Moaner rather than a Biter of a Les Paul.  I played that one hard and put her up wet.
Now it's had 15 years of Kevin's schmootz all over it and it's kinda gross looking.  He can keep it.

1987 Gibson SG Elite  This was a little weirdo for the time.  Ebony board, LP Custom block inlays, with a bog standard Gibson SG wheat head headstock.
TP 6 Tailpiece, coil tap, VVT 3 knob configuration. A FREAKING LOCKING NUT on a non trem equipped guitar.  Shaw Spotlight Special pickups.  The best part: It was pink.  We're talking Avon lady rose pink.
Why would I lust after such an abomination? Years prior, as a wee school lad, I happened across a SG Elite new at the same place I bought the Explorer in high school, and it never really left my mind. 
Many years later, finally found one on ebay and brought her home with me.   Made it my number one for the short time I played in a Country/Red Dirt band *shudder*, cuz let's bait the rednecks of NE OK/NW AR with a pink guitar, shan't we?  After that band mercifully departed this mortal coil, the poor lil SG was forever tainted in my mind.  So I moved it along, began to miss it badly, found an 89 SG Elite that was even MORE PINKER, and now I own that one instead.  Itch scratched.

For me, bringing in is 99.99% of the time something that's a project that I then never end up doing anything with.  Getting rid of probably my 1st year Ibanez RG550 in Atlantic Blue.  Looked like this one. I had it with EMGs:  89/SA/89 with splits.  It was played a lot for 15 years and I hadn't played it an ages.  Great guitar that covered a lot of bases.  Any Hamers I've gotten, I've kept figuring I could always sell those later.

This 1979 Rick 4001. For me, it was simply the best "fit" ever--ergonomics (to include weight and balance), sonic properties, "blend" capability with a guitar in a three-piece format, etc.  Traded even on a Leo-era L-1000 when I was trying out a "how-many-of-this-model-can-I-acquire" experiment, and while the G & L category was interesting, I should have stuck with the original "one of each" collection guidelines I had set.
