MrGuitarguy Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 I love to see all The different Hamers that get posted here, but I'd love to see all the unique and odd ball guitars Hamer has made! Post your Virts, Watsons, custom finishes, hard tail Cali's (I know there's at least one out there and I want it damn it!!!), celebrity guitars, and one offs! Let's make this the most hardcore Hamer porn thread to date!
mc2 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Motherbucker longscale TLE...setneck Cali...Virt...prototype Prototype 24 fret.
cmatthes Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 From the late '80s BIG FORMAT catalog and Hamer ads of the same Day-Glo era: Back to stock control layout now (switching/knobs changed around by former owner, original OBL back in).
DaveH Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Ok, here's my '96 Eclipse....one of 12 korina pieces built, according to Kim Keller.
Mike_C Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 my original custom order Cognac burst or BCR Burst or 59 Darkburst the fun thing is they forgot the burst and finished it more like an ultimate artist. As far as I know this was a one off until this year's NAMM show. and of course it's twin a little longer scale and with six more strings A one piece korina Junior with a longer than normal pickguard and my most recent ruby red quilt super monaco And a photshop version of Talladega that is my favorite finish
BTMN Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Dave Hlubek's October of '79 until sold/pawned in Jacksonville, Fl. BTMN's from same pawnshop, December '82 until present...... Life IS Good!
kizanski Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 The Butcher Signature Series Model (#1 of 2 made). Chambered Korina Standard Custom (the 1st Chambered Standard made) '97 Korina Vector (#72 of 72) I think the three guitars combined weigh 13 ounces.
Mike_C Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 The Butcher guitar is fantasic. One of the nicest playing and sounding Hamers out there. The black Korina standard is very cool as well I'd love to check that out some time the chambering is a cool idea.
cloakerz Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 You guys are killin me with this stuff!!!!!!!!
HSB0531 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 BCR Greg has a pic of my trans red 4 digit 4 p/u standard bass somewhere??....lol!
Mike_C Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 This one has a couple different twists. Photos don't do that one justice.
Guest pirateflynn Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Here's a very cool Graphic Special ......
tomteriffic Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I love Standards in all their varied glory. I love goldtops. So I got me two, two fetishes satisfied in one guitar. It's chambered, BTW, weighs less than my Specials. AFAIK, it's still the one and only. Certainly the first.
HSB0531 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 That Goldtop Standard is Hall of Fame material.
atquinn Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I believe these are fairly unique: This one mainly because of the extra-thick body (I don't think there's any other Studio out there with that feature...yet): And I don't believe I've ever seen another mahogany Special like this (although there might be more out there):
musicman Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Why is the body extra thick? Is it to accommodate the Floyd? Looks like it has the thickness of a current Duotone. How do you like the guitar?
Armitage Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I'm waiting to see The Punisher, and the Gator Green Standard!
Disturber Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Snake Skin SSII. Jim O' Connor custom hand painted. Dan Armstrong headstock, electra glide cousin, 24 fret artchtop Sunburst.
hamerhead Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Sustain Block Special FM: Sustain Block BCR Junior: Not TOO far out there, but one-offs anyway.
Steve Haynie Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 8 string Chaparral bass with a maple top, ebony board with side dots.
BCR Greg Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Badger's pair from the same board... Sir Doug's bunch... Kirlroy's unholy trinity... The first BCR Burst body...(okay, it's the paint sample.) One piece korina Standard... Comita Clone... Silentman's Watson Custom... \ Foodermon's Gatorburst... There is so much more...
BadgerDave Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The purple Artist Custom: Seafoam Special – 90’s, original paint: The goldtop Monaco: ’79 Standard:
