I've sent $$ off to JoeG, Bubs42, Kilroy Loves Guitars, and Tonefiend. Never met any of them. A couple phone calls, a few emails, and in a few days received in response fantastic guitars, from four people who are honest, trustworthy, and men of their words, who I'd be happy to have as guests in my house.

I've also learned a lot from hanging out around here and appreciate everyone's willingness to share knowledge and opinions, as well as their bitter lessons learned. I hope to repay the favor. Thanks, guys.

Every trade or sale I have ever done here has always been flawless. I was gonna buy a speaker from brooks and he found me a better speaker for less from another member! I always post gear I am selling here first. It doesn't always sell but what does goes so smooth and worry free.

I've visited BCR Greg's shop and met him, spoken by phone to a handful of folks on the board and through the message feature with several more, and all seemed like great people. I came this close to meeting Gene (BTMN) when I was down in Tampa a couple of years ago and Brooks when he was up in Richmond, VA once.

I feel like I can buy/sell/trade here with confidence. I've joined several guitar-related forums over the years and have posted maybe 20 times total to all of them combined. Here I'm closing in on 900 posts. THIS is where I want to be.

I've had nothing but good experiences on the HFC.... buying stuff as well as asking for help. Everyone's good. I'm normally just a lurker on forums but the HFC is a tight community and I feel comfortable posting here.

I've been on this board for over 10 years and in that time I have traded/bought/sold more wood than a freaking lumber yard and I've spent and received more money then I'll ever admit to in this lifetime.

In that stellar run I've had ONE bad deal.

I won't mention any names, but it was a straight up trade deal. The guitar I received was not as described, but to his credit, he did not use the words "mint" or "pristine."

When I called him to tell him that I wanted to undo the deal, and that I would pay shipping on both guitars as an act of good faith, (we had agreed that the deal would be final when we were both happy with the trade), he told me that the deal is done and that was that. If I didn't like the guitar, he said, I should sell it.

In other words, now it's my problem.

To his credit, though, he did send me some money to offset what I thought was the difference in value of the two guitars, but under no circumstances was he sending what was technically still MY guitar back to me.

After I sold the guitar, the Lollar Imperial pickups that were in it (separately) and added the cash he sent me, I was well ahead of the deal, so at the end of the day, I came out on top.

So, even though it was a "bad deal" I was made whole, which is all anyone can ask for.

I've done many good deals with members here, but the one that stands out as the best was with Jeff R. About 3 years ago he had won a Hamer on eBay that I missed and I had emailed him the day after to ask that if he ever decided to sell it to please contact me. About a year had passed, and I had forgotten all about it, when I received an email from him offering to sell it to me for what he paid for it. I accepted and still own it today. The additional kicker is that we didn't even know each other was an HFC member prior to doing the deal.

I've had great deals with Zenmindbeginner (pickup) and Thorn (Artist Korina). Great communication and quick shipment in both cases and Thorn even through in some 'Florida sunshine' for me!

I am on all the guitar forums that I know exist. This is without a doubt the most trustworthy bunch and extremely friendly. I cannot say that about the other forums. BTW in the last few years Ive had 100 Plus transactions so please forgive if I dont mention all of you but you know who you are. Long live the HFC!
