kizanski Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I like a bit of bling ... Your photos are backwards.
SouthpawGuy Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I like a bit of bling ... Your photos are backwards. ... and my stock response .
tbonesullivan Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Yep.. no contest here: This is pretty much the only eye candy guitar I have. Most look nice, but fancy headstocks, inlays, etc are not often found on my guitars. I like guitars that play awesome, regardless of how they look. then again i don't really have any beaters in my collection either.
bubs_42 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Another Stiked guitar! Yep, I should have bought that one. The Sustainblock with P90's in an Artist Hog=
DaveH Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Blingiest? Maybe this one: or maybe this one: or possibly this one: Hell, who knows? Could even be lucky# 13: :) I love 'em all... even the beaters!
ArnieZ Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Well mine is often found in my sig, but I do have a couple more that I think are either beautiful or blingy. Redwood #17 has a beautiful top and is not only a great player but has great ergonomics and tone! http://smg.photobucket.com/user/arniez/media/DSC01318.jpg.html'> If metal flake = bling than this Vinetto is definitely a qualifier http://smg.photobucket.com/user/arniez/media/IMG_0451.jpg.html'> and :
burningyen Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Awesomeness! I got rid of all my blingy guitars, but here's a trip down memory lane: Sparkle and f-hole binding bling: Flame maple bling: Flame maple and pearloid bling: MOP purfliing bling: Nowadays a painted clear pickguard is the closest to bling that I have:
MCChris Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Here's mine--allover black sparkle, including the headstock: Yes, I still have it even though I posted it for sale and ended the thread with "sale pending". I committed the cardinal sin of selling guitars: I picked it up and played it again. That combined with hearing a recording of the jam session I used it on a couple weeks ago resulted in me flaking on the sale, fortunately before any funds had changed hands. I hereby offer a public "I know, I suck" to JustKid and coolfeel, both of whom had cash at the ready.
coolfeel Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 You suck lol Just kidding, do keep me in mind though if you want to sell it please
MCChris Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 One good thing about my suckage is it gave me a change to chat with you over the phone. Imagine that, some actual human interaction!
Tres Aardvarks Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 As blingy as I have for now. If I ever finish a certain project Chapparal, it'll be a lot more blingy (gold and red hardware all over). These just kill me...awesome!
coolfeel Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 One good thing about my suckage is it gave me a change to chat with you over the phone. Imagine that, some actual human interaction! People who know me well would probably not say that speaking to me over the phone is a good thing...
Brooks Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 this is almost becoming a stike appreciation thread. http://s512.photobucket.com/user/brookskaplan/media/saber2-1.jpg.html'>
veatch Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I don't know if this would qualify.... Yes it does. Even if it didn't, it still does.
Toadroller Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Should this project ever be completed, it's as blingy as I've got: http://s200.photobucket.com/user/Druffing1/media/TCG4/IMG_4283.jpg.html'> http://s200.photobucket.com/user/Druffing1/media/TCG4/IMG_4285.jpg.html'> Here's the closest I've come, a Slammer Series Centaura, black with silver sparkle: http://s200.photobucket.com/user/Druffing1/media/Slammer%20Series%20Centaura/PA052266.jpg.html'> http://s200.photobucket.com/user/Druffing1/media/Slammer%20Series%20Centaura/PA052269.jpg.html'>
Steve Haynie Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 ib2010 those pickup covers are what puts that guitar over the top! The binding/purfling is cool, too. What is it?
