I wish anyone undertaking this project the best of luck. If I had a CNC machine in my garage.........nope. Probably not.

Jol just posted a pic today on facebook of new ones he had done.....

Why doesn't he sell some outside of his builds?

Why are you asking that here?

Ask Jol!

If someone can get me drawings, I can make 3d models and having machining done here at the shop I work for. My good friend runs the cnc mills and comes in at 3am daily...so he can sneak things like this in as long as it's not 10 pieces a day. If we can get the design and machining ironed out to what you guys deem acceptable, I can get that part handled for little more than the cost of material....

www.mcmaster.com gives you an idea of price if you type in brass and look at bar sizes...

Good point. I just posted that question on his FB page. There seem to be a few who've asked about getting or if they can be a replacement. So far no answers.

I may need as many as half a dozen. Let us know. I would definitely like to have something of original style on some old Hamers that lost their originals. ;)

Anyone know the thread size on the saddle height screws, off top of their head? Like to replace some.

4-40 IIRC. Send your snailmail address to stongemon@aol.com and I'll send you a full set of stainless steel saddle height screws for free; the stainless ones won't rust in place like the black oxide ones do.

Posting a question like that on a FB page is probably a sure fire way to NOT get it answered.

If you really want an answer, I'd highly recommend deleting the question, if posted publicly, and send the man a private message.

Posting that publicly just asks for piling on and speculation, and pretty sure that will do little else than piss him off. Just a guess...

Austin's "Still #1" thread led me to the Babicz site where I found this:

Reasonable facsimile? Improvement on the original? Anyone try one? Looks very nice.

$77.95 in chrome

$84.50 in black

$77.95 in gold, free shipping CONUS

It is larger than the Hamerhead bridge, but the base is not as thick.

Actually, a previous question asking the same thing was already deleted - maybe by the OP? They are for his customer builds:

Jol Dantzig Yes. They are for customer guitars.

I never thought we had so many people on the board with access to CNC's. Everyone wants to make them but no one has recently and the fact of the matter is that IT IS A LOT OF WORK and put that on top of that we are a cheap bunch and most do not want to pay more than the cost of Chinese Bridge made by the thousands on Ebay.

Maybe someone with the equipment could machine the parts and then sell them as a "KIT"

Then everyone that wanted one, or six, could buy their own files and polishing equipment and do the EZ part themselves.

:):P:D:lol: I'm still looking for a LMAO emoticon big enough to go here.

order materials in a few weeks to kick off build.

PM me if you are interested.

Chrome or Nickel will be the only choice for finishes at this time.
