Those 4 years I spend living with a "Trekkie", even after 35 years apart, DID "warp" me for life. serial Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Trust levels dealing with message board members (imho) are not higher than on the HFC. I've had dealings on other boards and nothing comes close. A large part of that is the 'self-policing' of the quality individuals we have here. I can recall (in 20 years of being on this board) only one or two examples of less than 'minty fresh' transactions.
ARM OF HAMER Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Something is only original once...............and that guitar was never so. It would require some imagination to believe that this instrument could be anywhere close to the $3,600.00 Gibson original.I know of a guy that almost bought into getting one of these fake Gibbys............whats that Steve King quote............"The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool".
Jakeboy Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Yet another reason why I buy guitars, amps, speakers, etc sight unseen here knowing I will get exactly what is advertised. The HFC is the best and part of that is due to solid policing....thanks Cmatthes and whoever else was involved.
LucSulla Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Last couple of deals I've done here I've shipped before receiving payment, and I've done a guitar swap here where the other party needed me to wait a week before shipping. I had a check and their guitar a good three days before mine even left the house. Ninety-nine percent of why I'm good with that is because I trust folks here. And one percent of it is that I sincerely believe that there are several people who would probably drive here or anywhere else and break the legs of a ne'er-do-well. I use this site often in my digital media classes as an example of what it looks like when the Internet goes right.

When I got the guitar there was no fish there. I got so damn angry with him. I mean, he promised me a fish!! I had the pot cockin' and everything ready for dinner.
