sws1 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 SOLD!!! Sorry for this being (perhaps) my first post. I typically hang out on TGP (6,500 posts). But after discussing this guitar with a number of people over there, they all encouraged me to post this over here. In fact, I haven't posted it for sale over there, but people had reached out to ask if I wanted to sell. And after much deliberation, I have decided to move it. I'm sure most of you know what the guitar is. Here is the background for those that don't know: http://www.hamerguitars.com/?fa=custompop11&keepThis=true& I am the original owner, having purchased it from Music Machine in 2005. As for condition, the top is flawless. The back has a few light scratches, and a couple buckle marks. Not through the finish, but rather light indents. I tried to capture in the photos, but they are extremely minor and hard to photograph. The chrome (pups, tuners, etc) could use a bit of polishing. I did polish it up about a year ago, and it came out great, but it's lost a bit of lustre since then. The only thing weird is that all 3 knobs developed a crack, as if they wanted to split in half. They are still solid feeling, but you can obviously see the crack in the plastic. For the life of me, I can't figure out how that would happen, and all 3 together. Must have been related to tight tolerances, and one of those times when the heat went out in the house. Perhaps during the week I was without power due to Hurricane Sandy. Nothing has been changed. All solder joints original. As to the neck size, here are the measurements. These were taken OVER the strings, just behind the frets, in standard tuning. So the string didn't get pushed all the way down to the board, so subtract a bit for the fret height. 1st - 23.45mm5th - 24.75mm12th - 28mm15th - 28.9mm17th - 31mm Price: $3300 Apologies again for selling without hanging out here much. I normally would sell over there, but me suspects the people here would appreciate it more. Here are some pics from just a few weeks ago.
currypowder Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Oof.My thoughts exactly. I had a Triple Threat for awhile and do miss it, though I have no gear funds right now.
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 THUD! ......................Wow! that IS beautiful! GLWTS
django49 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I have owned three of the 30 made. (Passed on two to members here). Def one of Hamer's more desirable, IMO.
Jakeboy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 A beautiful TT. Check out the Shishkov protos if you dig the TT....methinks you will like those too.GLWTS!
sonic1974 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 That's an incredible looking guitar! Wish I had the cash!!
killerteddybear Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 OP, welcome to the HFC!Very nice guitar.
rugby1970 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 That is a very fine example of fine craftsmanship from the Hamer factory to which, quite sadly, we shall no longer be privy. It remains up to the Shishkov to continue the legacy!
tbonesullivan Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Holy crap! that's awesome! If I didn't already have two studios and no cash...
tbonesullivan Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Nice!! Hopefully the lucky winner will assail us with more eye candy once they get it. That is a thing of beauty.
BadgerDave Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I couldn't resist.I saw Scott's post about his TT on TGP awhile ago and contacted him. He wasn't quite ready to sell then, but got back to me a couple of days ago.I had sent Mike a deposit on a new Cobra in the interim and passed on the TT, but when I saw the photos here . . .I seriously need to sell something!
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Well that did not take long did it? . Congrats! Amazing guitar!

crunchee Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Well that did not take long did it? . Congrats! Amazing guitar! IIRC, they never do, and there's not that many to go around, anyway. I never cared much for the name "Triple Threat", I always thought of them more as a "Triple Treat". Welcome sws 1!
