BubbaVO Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 What can I say, but the wait will be worth it...
cmatthes Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 That top is awesome...the figuring of that rosewood is awesome...
atomicwash Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The ladies have already formed a line for autographs.
scottcald Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I like ebony, but man, I love seeing woodgrain.
JGravelin Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Beautiful top!! You're getting it done up in solid bright yellow rite? XD
gorch Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 It looks a bit raw to me right now. But, I think Mike will polish it at the rear end. - I mean 'in the end'.
DaveL Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 very cool... like how there's some different things going on in that grain.
soli'd Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Great color choice for that figure. I like how the grain goes from wide to narrow.
fractal Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Mike gets the best wood.Aren't those kind of comments reserved for the outer circle?
BubbaVO Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 'twas a gooooooood day for me, indeed. I was completely blown away when I opened up the case. Beautiful guitar. In every way. You like flamey maple? I'm diggin' the tiger stripes. Everything you heard about the build quality is true. And then there are little things I've noticed that show the attention to detail. I really appreciated the wood truss rod cover. The side markers really pop when you look down at them. I wasn't sure how I would get along with the shape but I love it. Easy to play sitting down and standing up. The neck is beefy thick and perfect. Most importantly, I love the way it sounds. It arrived perfectly set up. Unplugged, that low E rings out like a piano. Sounds so good just strumming it. The pups are as described in other posts. They are that good. Even my wife (who more or less ignores my guitar habits) commented on how nice the guitar sounded. Thanks Team Shishkov.
