DarkHammer Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Behold the Havener-Hamer Masterpiece - A One-of-a-Kind Rock Legend. This extraordinary instrument represents the pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship. It combines Rand Havener’s innovative genius with Jol Dantzig’s (Hamer Guitars) award-winning design prowess. Born from a collaboration that would make guitar history, this axe is unique. You can see this axe in the MTV 1989 “All Is Forgiven” video (Red Siren; Mercury/Polygram): Unparalleled Pedigree - Original body designed by Rand Havener, creator of Vivian Campbell's iconic guitars - Custom-modified and made by Jol Dantzig, founding partner and head designer of Hamer Guitars. - The only known Havener-Dantzig guitar collaboration in existence. $8,333 https://reverb.com/item/85072649-hamer-rand-dantzig-1989-silver-metalflake
Disturber Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Looks a bit Spinal Tap to me. The metal guys on this board will probably love it. Very unique though and a part of Hamer history. If a buyer hurries up they can have it delivered until Halloween. Those inlays have a very Addams Family vibe. I kinda dig 'em.
kizanski Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I've never seen that guitar or the band before, but that bitch is FINE!
Ham Rex Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Why is there no "USA" on the logo? Also in the video neck pickup is an OBL.
Ham Rex Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Does anyone wonder if this guitar may be a Rand Havener Replica of the Original or am I just being paranoid?
gorch Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Not my cup of tea to be honest. But that’s alright.

It looks like there is a U.S.A. in this pic, though not in the usual place. I also find the ad confusing. Designed by Havener, "modified and made" by Jol... is it a unique guitar that Hamer didn't offically make, but had some hand in? I'm sure someone will dig it either way but I don't understand the origins here.

I don't recall the Pic that shows guitar in the case and the electronics cavities open. But I am dealing with a hurricane so I could be me.

I think they have slugs and adjustable poles. Looks like it might be SD Mark Holcomb Alpha 6 string? https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/mark-holcomb
diablo175 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Hmm. Interesting in a "not-so-interesting-to-me" way. Unique for sure.
Hamerica Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I was wondering when this was gonna show up. A former member had been contact about that specific guitar about two decades ago. Never knew what happened other than he did not require it. Yep that’s Jon Brandt (Cheap Trick) on bass. Hamerica
gatorbyte007 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Silly looking guitar. But definitely a one off.

mathman Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I sorta like it, but I sorta like having 8 grand more....
Steve Haynie Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 To me, that guitar is cool. Other than Rick Nielsen and Glenn Tipton, few people ever got a custom body shape from Hamer.
Biz Prof Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 This mostly makes me wish Hamer had made an Impact guitar (other than Lita's custom).

crunchee Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Looks like it'd pair well with one of those Tesla 'Family Truckster' veehickles.
Eli Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Uhhhhhh, did anyone here grab this? Marked as sold! https://reverb.com/item/85072649-hamer-rand-dantzig-1989-silver-metalflake?show_sold=true
