I'd say you were getting warmer...

That I still don't have one for sale.......

I have a Newport and a set of P94s. Does that count?

I'd say I am waiting for whatever Shishkov hollow body creation is coming ......

That said, I bet a Newport 90 falls your way soon.

I'd say I don't have a Newport 90, but would sell you the Camstone Jr, and guaranty that you would stop looking for a Newport 90.

I think I'm one of those going along these lines.....

"I'd say, it looks like I won't be holding out for one anytime soon".

Good luck! I hope it happens for you soon.

Ok, I'd say at least half of the posts in this thread are complete nonsense, including the first one.

And this one.

The Newport 90s are going for WELL ABOVE what any other stock Newport model is going for, simply because they only made a small number of them. It was one of the last "new" models Hamer introduced before they shuttered.

There are simply none available to meet the demand. I've only seen a few for sale ever.

This is exactly right; and whilst many out there subscribe to the misnomer that Hamers don't have any resale value, this is simply not true. There may be many out there that don't know what they have and sell dirt cheap, but I believe the source of the misnomer are typically forum trolls stirring the pot or are 'Gibby' fanboys etc. Especially since Hamer stopped production completely; and there were only about three completely hand made guitars a day that rolled off the bench to dealers while they were being made; finding truly minty Hamers is no easy task. Prices on these are climbing across the board, and for good reason.

I don't agree.

The "bad resale value" song has been sung ad nauseam but the members here (I being one) since the beginning.

They don't have the resale of your comparably-priced Gibsons - still don't - and you don't have to be a Gibson fanboy to know that.

The Newport 90 is the exception, not the rule.

Interesting developments lately. Seems as if more "pricey" models have popped up lately. Some getting taken fairly quickly, others languishing.

Shoot, for twice that price I'd let a pair of ltd editions go! <_<

I wish I had a chance to at least play one of these to get a real world experience with it.

Good luck with the search.

If I had one, I'd sell it to you and buy an R4.

What the hell guitar *do* you have these days, anyway?

I don't remember seeing an acquisition since the two Newport 90s flowed through your fingers like water.

He's playing an early-'80s Neon Blood Spatter BC Rich Warlock with a Washburn Wonderbar retrofitted.

Our little Mitch is growing up right in front of our eyes!!
