it's me HHB Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I dont mention it much, but my first Hamer was a very early B&Ced Sunburst, unplayable. One of those with the wacked neck. I didnt know how to date it at the time, but it was 1983 and it was used by then, I'm just gunshy of any piece from that era I cant play first. I had an 82 after that , great guitar, now owned by Haynie, but sight unseen, Triple threat
ARM OF HAMER Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 A 78 b&c Sunburst or a Triple Threat. If both guitars were all original.............and IF it was a Black 1978 B&C'd Hamer Sunburst.....................well for me that would be a easy choice .......................Taking nothing away from the TT which is a stunning beauty on every level.
PaGator Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 78 B&C Sunburst, TT neck profile a little bigger than I prefer
KofSeattle Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 My 2 cents, go for the Triple Threat if you can get it.
sixesandsevens Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 B&C! Because Sustain Blocks rule! I was gonna say Triple Threat, but you make a good point. Both.
Sugartune Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 TT, but why choose? Seems like you made the right choice in not choosing.
Ting Ho Dung Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Both mine. I'll take the Sunburst since everyone else wants the TT. Thanks. PMing with address.
mc2 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Nice Sunburst! Hell.....why not womp off a horn on each and make,a doubleneck and solve your problem. If you put the Sunburst on top.....you also lose the ugly knobs.
Northsider Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 The Sunburst belonged to the late Joe Ramsey guitarist for Dread Zeppelin. Super resonant and the pickups are amazing. Nothing like old wood.
