I don’t have any “plans” to buy anything in 2024. But, I’ll never say never. I do have a project I’m hoping to finish this year. 🤞🏼

Let me know on that Kotzen Tele, @LucSulla  I hear those have necks straight outta my wet dreams…

Thickest neck I own, and I have a Les Paul Trad that I used to consider a baseball bat. But this - this is a baseball bat.

I really like the 2x12 for bass, I played with an Eden 410xlt for years, then found a GK Neo ii 212, to me it sounds every bit as good at half the weight, and doesn't blow up tweeters every time you look at it wrong.

Like many, still too much stuff. I have sold about $14k in gear in the past month....  A couple higher end guitars (inc that all BRW Tele), a combo amp, two smaller amps, mess of pedals. Def should sell several more shop built cabinets, but not looking to ship heavy wooden boxes. And the vintage Mesa rack gear.....

Need to do more. Maybe when people get tax refunds......

Mostly selling locally, meaning S L O W L Y.......I should probably post a link to my CL listing of dozens of pedals to see if there is any interest. And face up to a lot of shipping packages. I probably should have just taken the $4k cash offer for the whole pile. They really stack up when you retire them to the vault rather than get rid of them.....

Nice Blackbird SR-71 for sale at a good prIce. Not sure I wanna drive an hour or more for something I do not need.

If/when Grez Guitars offers the latest variation of the Mendocino, I may not be able to resist.

I keep looking at the ibanez ehb1005ms (headless, multi-scale 5 string bass). Looks super comfortable to wear/play, supposedly very lightweight.

https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/ehb1005ms_1p_02.html

I've been obsessed with the short-scale version of this (EHB1005SMS) since they came out. I have only one (P) bass and play bass only about as frequently as I get to play guitar, but a short-scale fiver with a non-floppy B (the reviews all seem to agree) is an intriguing combination.

I am finished buying electric guitars, but I have been on the hunt for an acoustic for a couple of years now. Some day I hope to emerge from the swamp and go to a city that actually has guitars I could try out. I'm thinking a Gibson 50's J-50 would be ideal (natural finish and big neck being the draws for me).

I also have in mind some sort of modeling device with a powered cabinet (hence my "Kemper Experts" thread in the Ask forum). Absolutely don't need it, but I'm bored.

I almost definitely will not be buying any new guitars this year. Used guitars now that is a different story. I will probably buy at least one when I see a deal I like on a guitar I want. These days the only guitars I want are Hamer. ESP. and possibly a Taylor Acoustic.

I've traded up enough that my collection is pretty tight so I am not buying and selling as much as I used to (for now)

Dang, where was the 2023 thread?  I'd have been at least a co-champion.

I'm in for 2024, too - most of things that stole my attention last year are still vying for it, and I am looking hard at dipping my toe into hobbyist watch repair.  For the moments when the musical muse's number comes up, I have more than I need.  I should sell some, but I'm the guitar equivalent of those single person memes I see about being ready to meet their soulmate but the doorbell never rings.

Do guitars ordered (and paid for) in 2023 but arriving in '24 count as '24 purchases?

If not, I'm primed to have a no-new-guitars-bought-year in '24. :)

Hell, I may be selling off a few of the herd as well. Got a tricked-out Mexi-Charvel DK 24 up at the moment and another primed to go. Also seriously contemplating letting go of one of the 2 remaining Hamer Cali LE's.

I think that half registers in both. 🤣

I have 6 and aim to sell 1 or 2. Might pull the trigger on a Warmoth body to go on my partscaster, making it 100% Warmoth.

I have no plans to buy anything. Been that way since 1976. Bought something every year since.

Bought this I know not where. Gave it to my Nephew. Swapped him a Pacifica for it back. Has a dedication on the headstock.

Yeah, I can appreciate the effort and wish you all well in your endeavors but I already committed to a new to me Dean V for my birthday. 🤓

Both of my LE's are highly modded and likely worthless to anyone looking for stock or original Cali's. That said, they look, play and sound fantastic!

That’s very nice. I guess one of the perks of living in Florida is access to used Deans. There may be other benefits, but I’m not aware of any.

SD (Neck) Hot Rails in the Radioactive LE and a Gravelin Single Coil currently in the Swirly LE. It’s pictured with an earlier Hot Rails
