Yes indeed. The uninformed might be confused seeing an original untouched Monaco III in a for sale ad right next to the "Notaco" III2 points

At that asking price, it won't likely be going anywhere anytime soon, IMO.2 points

Hanukkah falls late this year. I don't remember it falling on Christmas in the past but my brain is about dead. So, Happy Hanukkah HFC. Thank you for making me feel at home here. If you are not of the persuasion then Merry Christmas to my Christian friends. If you are neither then Most Happy of Holidays to you and prosperity in the future. It's all good, man!!2 points

I've got a Rivera era Vibrolux Reverb. I think it's an 82. All tube and P2P. Also a Deluxe Reverb. 1980 I think. I love it. Johnny Marr just put a beautiful book out. The photos and history is amazing. I bought a second to read the 1st. It's a collectors habit. It's autographed and so many pictures and detail shots and huge. Dimensions and weight listed... about 4lbs if I got my Kilos to LBs right. https://us.officialmusicandmerch.com/collections/johnny-marr/products/marr-s-guitars-hardback-book-signed-jnm2 points

You've been around here how long? You are supposed to have several Hamers with all pickup configurations.2 points

How did they attach all that stuff to a styrofoam block? That must have taken some patience2 points

Yes!....And having a luthier match the wood grain and fill in the pickup route must have cost a good bit of money.1 point

How about this one about Stings 8 string bass? They call it explorer bass but wouldn't it be called standard bass, at least from the Hamer - centric position? Article...1 point

Iām a huge Johnny Marr fan, and preordered the book within an hour of it being announced. I was tempted to snag another autographed copy last fall when I took my son to see Marrās DC stop, but I restrained myself. Agree that it is an incredibly well/done work!1 point

I teach Band at an elementary school, and you absolutely cannot go wrong with Yamaha. You can get a great deal on an older one made in Japan: the trumpets have great longevity, and they are very reliable. You can take your new purchase to your local music store for an ultrasonic cleaning if necessary, or you can rent to own if you prefer to play it safe. Please stay away from the Chinese and no-name brands. With trumpets, you get what you pay for: there is no sense in buying a crap instrument. It will just be frustrating for the player.1 point

Ha, I felt like one of the guys that used to ride around Southern California selling cheap speakers out the back of the white mini vans. Anyone watching would have probably been thinking even worse.1 point

As a daily user of Narcotics and stool softeners I can speak from a point of experience, you don't want to run out of either one of them!!!1 point

I am glad the surgery went smoothly. You probably have some restrictions on how much weight they want you to lift post-op. I had neck surgery to remove a benign tumor from the top of my spine about seven years back. The surgeon told me he didn't want me to lift over eight pounds for three weeks. Without missing a beat I asked him "How am I gonna take a leak?" He thought that was pretty funny.1 point

Robotic surgery is freakin' amazing. I had a HUGE robotic surgery last year called a "Robotic Simple Prostatectomy". I had extreme BPH, I could barely pee, it was horrible. PSA was 15!!!. So after 3 no-fun Biopsies, 2 MRI's, my prostate was over double the normal size. The high PSA turned out to be due to the BPH, not cancer - whew! This was the best treatment for the long term. Other treatments don't last and you have to redo some of them. I went for the biggie surgery, $150,000 (My wife has insanely great insurance and we already met our deductible) For a simple explanation... they go in and take out the goopy part and leave the prostate intact instead of removing it, so no nerve or peeing issues etc (I had no cancer thank god) Got 6 holes in me and yeah, had to have a catheter for 10 days - That sucked. I'm peeing like an 18 year again and you can barely see the holes. For the fun stuff, we've been binge-watching The Penguin, Tulsa, Silo. All good shows.1 point
