Thundernotes Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Last month, my son got a call to interview for an assistant recording engineer's job in LA. It's a big home studio, with lots of projects that need attention. Long story short: he gets the job. Things have gone well and he hits it off great with the boss - so well that he gets invited to come hiking and camping with him and his son for a weekend in north-central California. They had a great time and got to talk for hours around the campfire. I'm proud and a little jealous, at the same time.... Of course my son Sean is still too intimidated to play a guitar in front of him....

I also happen to know that scottcrud is gonna have some pretty cool news for us as well soon - but I won't steal his thunder. So in the same week......... HFC'ers are sharing great stories about Gary Holt and now Steve Vai. But you know what? We deserve it, because we're good guys who look out for each other, support each other, and are happy for each other when good stuff happens to us and our families. Way to go - sincere congrats to you and you son.
