m chops Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Ngomo, African music station on XM radio. Its pleasant break from the blues and classic rock I normally listen to. But african rap is no better than american rap.

Jeff R Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 3/4ths of the new 9 Slug record - drums, guitars and vocals are recorded and I put bass tracks down Saturday at Maison Cajun Boy with his Boogie bass stack. So far, we've surpassed our production expectations - the new disc is making the first record sound like it was recorded in an outhouse with a jambox.

Gabe Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Hey I am currently listening to the HFC greatest vol. 1 and 2. It is really great to hear a lot of you guys freaking out and making good music. I like "Jennifer" by Ted Martin and "Phaser Gunn" by Rob Schwartz. Also very nice is Tobereeno's heavy solo piece and "We all need". This last song starts out as a sort of Abba song and then it becomes a kind of Cheap Trick classic. Great. But also a lot of other songs are nice. I am very glad that at last I got this CD, because it took a long time since I won it in the Raffle before I got it last week. It was sent by Ted after I told hiim that I still had not gotten it. But now I am very happy being able to listen to all of this. Are there more HFC CD's or only this double one? Gabe
