Ok, in the spirit of fun I’d like some suggestions for a pickup name.  After some communication with Josh we have settled on a humbucker for my Super-C build.

The humbucker is loosely based on a Super Distortion with a selection of mods from Josh.  It’ll be Alnico 5 as opposed to ceramic (for warmth and to sound more “organic”), hot wound - with a little more on the front coil.

At the tail end of our conversation Josh mentioned that we need a name.

Ideas please?

Thanks for chiming in everyone! Here's my top picks:

Pentortion

Super B

Brazstortion

These will be equipped with closed plastic covers ala Bartolini/EMG and I'm still waiting for them to arrive. I suggested hex-heads "under the hood" in case our pal DBraz wants to have some versatility with pole height adjustment. I made a few prototypes and..gotta say it: these freakin' RIP it!

Oh man they look freakin awesome Josh!  Bravo Sir!

A few alternative suggestions that have been put my way include Brazen Tone and the more personal Brazin’ Tone.

Thoughts Josh?

They are your pickups so really you can name them whatever you like! If you like Brazin' Tone, then that's what we can call them for your guitar.

Pentortion is pretty killer tho. :)
