Steve Haynie Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 There are no plans to buy a guitar right now, but there will probably be a nice pedal or two.
Rocktuna Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm inBought a Fender Japan Foto Flame strat just after the new yearAnd have a EBMM EVH sig model arriving next week
django49 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 2014 was a nutty year.......Suspect I might have "won". Though several items went away too, including 4 or 5 Hamers.2015 has to be a slower pace (even though there is SUPPOSED to be something pretty nice popping in here any day now). I DO hope to be cutting loose several items too.Edited to add that the first delivery for 2014 was just promised for tomorrow! (It is NOT a guitar that starts with an H).
G Man Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm in, just picked up a new amp on Saturday. Although I too need to move some stuff that just isn't seeing enough play time, or unique enough tones, to justify keeping. Assuming I am successful, there will be more gear coming in as well. And the cycle continues.
Tres Aardvarks Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Just cut to the chase and hand the trophy to Nathan
DaveL Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm in, although not as crazy as last year, thinned out my collection slightly, in anticipationof my shiskov. but will keep an eye on craigslist etc for any crazy deals.
sirDaniel Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I accept the challenge, with one slight wrinkle. How about a BIG F**KING AMP to blow the neighborhood up. It's time to kick some lunchpail amps to the curb. So, YES, lets do this.
diablo175 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Well, I'm off to a roaring start. One of my 2015 resolutions was to thin the herd and all I managed to do was trade two Cali's for different guitars and buy a new MIM Jackson. Not doin' so hot on that resolution, folks.
Jakeboy Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I am in. All I bought in 2014 was a cool amp...my Lil Dawg Ol Yeller 6g6-b Bassman clone. No guitars.2015 will get off to a roaring start as I am expecting my Shishkov Ultimate ....,after that.....I hopefully start selling other guitars to fund another Shishkov!!!!
savethematches Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Two more Bob Wallace custom guitars and maybe a tube amp on my horizon.
atquinn Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Only looking for one more guitar, which I think will be exceedingly difficult/impossible to find. Who knows what the year will bring though :lol;-Austin
django49 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 ^^^^Shoot......Post WTB. You might be surprised. It worked for me a few years back when I was trying to track down some hard to find Hamers!
tobereeno Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I am for certain buying a Mesa Boogie Road King soon, and I'm looking for the perfect rare Hamer to develop a new relationship with
veatch Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm in. I likely won't win on quantity, but might have a shot at overall quality...Edited 'cause i can't type fer krapt.
LucSulla Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Is this a net gain thing? I'm already up three for the year, but already sold one with another on the auction block and probably two more to follow.
Bobby Marshall Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Trading should count. Selling a guitar and buying another should also count. Every guitar that comes in should count, regardless of how many leave. But its not my thread so what do I know.
LordsoftheJungle Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Is it all about quantity or does expense matter? I've got a ridiculously strong urge to buy a Krautster II or a Lentz HSL.
Tres Aardvarks Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 You guys are amateurs...I'm buying a carriage house! And hopefully one new guitar this year!
sixesandsevens Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Is it all about quantity or does expense matter? I've got a ridiculously strong urge to buy a Krautster II or a Lentz HSL. As long as you like the guitars, I think the beauty of it is that even if you don't win, you win.
veatch Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 My motto for 2014 has carried over to 2015: "Helping the economic recovery one guitar at a time."
it's me HHB Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm planning on selling a bunch of stuff that's just sitting and getting some type of semi hollow w bigsby. I'm doing more straight jazz standards than rock gigs these days and don't have anything that works like I want it too. So I'll be looking for a standard Monaco or something similar soonish
Sugartune Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm aiming for two guitars this year. No more selling. Won't win the contest, but I'll enjoy the guitars.
velorush Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'm out: at this point it would be beyond senseless for me to throw any more money at Madison Square Bedroom. I'll be paying the remaining balance on the Shishkov Ultimate and that's it.Contemplating helping you guys out though - a sell-out of my modest collection could get me enough cash to get back into building cars...
tbonesullivan Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Oh yeah! I'm gonna sell sell sell!Basically I'm getting rid of dead weight, so I can buy... nothing? I need guitars that I love, not guitars that I just got because I wanted to try one out.I also need to solve my issue with SSH guitars.
