I had this one over 10 years ago. Sold it to hamerboy here at the HFC. I was heavy, Sounded awesome, even for a Floyded guitar. But the neck was to thin, even for me. Perhaps I should have kept it anyway. Not many of these around. Flat top, Floyd Rose, Hamer Sunburst Custom. Seriously cool. And with a stadium logo to boot. I paid 350$ for it. Can you believe it? And I think it had an ebony board, but my memory fails me here.7 points

Off the market. I've decided to keep it. 2019 RS Guitarworks - Contour Whiteguard Strat Note: I'm going though a senior-life crisis. Getting old, dealing with all that. So, decided to sell off a bunch of my gear and just pare down to my core stuff. So, I will be posting a bunch of stuff here in the next couple of weeks. Tune in. Here's a great one. I am the original owner. Ordered directly from Roy at RS Guitarworks. All original. It’s factory relic’d, but it hasn’t been gigged or played it out, so I didn’t add any additional wear. Excellent condition overall. Kept in my non-smoking home studio. The only thing I’d note is the Kluson low E tuner is a little loose when turning (Very common on Klusons). Still holds tune fine, just wanted full disclosure. It’s super resonant unplugged which is always a great sign. Lightweight at 7lbs, 6oz. Slim C neck carve (1st 8.42, 12th 9.10) with comfy, rolled fingerboard edges. Frets are like new, no fretwear. Exceptionally nice sounding Strat. In fact, Roy at RS quoted in a post on their facebook page when it was finished: “This may be one of the best we have ever done”. Comes with tremolo arm, signed certificate and all the original case candy. ------------------------------------------------- Specs: - ‘Old Friend’ Contour Whiteguard - Factory relic’d - Vintage two-tone sunburst - Lightweight alder body - 7lbs 6oz - One-piece maple neck - 6105 frets - 10” neck radius - Slim C neck carve - Rolled fingerboard edges - Lindy Fralin ‘54’ pickups (6.92 bridge, 5.88 middle, 5.89 neck ohms) - RS Superpot, CTS tone, RS cap, CRL switch, Switchcraft jack - RS Bridge with Highwood saddles - Kluson tuners - Aged nickel hardware - Fresh strings & intonated with Ernie Ball 9-46 - G&G hardshell case5 points

SOLD! ’01 Heritage H150CM Note: I'm going though a senior-life crisis. Getting old, dealing with all that. So, decided to sell off a bunch of my gear and just pare down to my core stuff. So, I will be posting a bunch of stuff here in the next couple of weeks. Tune in. This one is special and I don’t say that lightly. I said I would never sell this guitar as it’s already beat out 4 Gibson Custom shop Les Paul’s I’ve owned and sold. This one has stayed. It's a player with honest playwear. No breaks or repairs, just normal marks from real use. This guitar has been to every gig I’ve played. It’s magic (OK, no more blabbering on) Here's the details… ’01 Heritage H-150CM. Hand-built in Kalamazoo MI at the old Gibson factory. If you don’t know the Heritage Guitars story, these peeps bought the old Gibson factory and tooling when Gibson moved to Nashville. Google it, it’s a great story. Standard Les Paul build. Mahogany body/neck, Rosewood board, Maple top with real nitro lacquer finish. Just about everything on it has been replaced with better parts. It's got a slimmer neck carve, the neck specs are .810 at 1st, .915 at 12th fret. Rosewood board. I had the guitar PLEK’d about a year and a half ago. Now, shows a tiny bit of playwear, but nothing really. Still plays beautifully with low action, straight neck. Loaded with OX4 PAF pickups with aged nickel covers. They are some of the best pickups I’ve found, and I’ve spent a LOT of money on expensive boutique pickups. These are great. Push-pull on 1 tone control for neck split. TonePros locking bridge. Lightweight tailpiece. German Schaller top-locking tuners (You can’t get these tuners in the USA, I ordered them from Thomann). They are like the PRS kind that tighten at the top, not the back, love ‘em. Newer pickup rings, pickguard and ‘moan/scream’ poker chip, Amber top-hat bell knobs and Schaller strap lock buttons. I have the original pickguard and plastic jack plate in the case, but that’s all of the original parts I still have. I also have my original heritage case candy info. 9lbs, 4oz and very resonant unplugged, which is always a great sign. Cosmetically, there is a honest wear from playing on front, top and back. See pics. There is a decent spot under the pickguard as I always played it without the pickguard. There’s some finish marks on the tail from a Vibramate Bigsby mount (FYI, those Vibramates are NOT damage free!) Small dings and scratches here and there, nothing too bad. Some worming/belt buckle wear on the back too, not through to the wood. The back of the neck is clean, no dings. I used this guitar extensively on my last blues album – The Whole Shabang. It’s records great. Comes with an non-original, but really nice hardshell case. If you want more info or pics, just message me, I’m happy to provide anything you want. $1,400 Shipped/PP F&F. Not interested in any trades - thx Message me with any questions. ernie5 points

Robin Trower played at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta last night. The opening act was Marty Manous, a local guy who played a Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster with a looper pedal. His playing reminded me of Eric Johnson. He was worthy of getting that opening slot. There were a bunch of people bragging about how they saw Robin Trower in the 1970's. No one introduced me to his music until around 1980 or 1981. A guitar playing friend I had not seen in a decade (or two... or more) saw me, and the conversation was all about guitars. At least half the people there around us were talking guitars, too. So, my friend and I were trying to get photos of the settings on the two Marshall heads on stage. The guy next to us got a blurry photo, but it worked. The Presence knobs were turned all the way back. I noticed that for virtually every song Robin was using the neck pickup on his Strat. During Bridge of Sighs he had it in the middle position, and toward the end of the show it was between the middle and neck position. Everything you could hope for in Robin Trower's playing was there. He is 79, and age does not seem to have affected his ability to play guitar. It was a wonderful night.4 points

You never know what you'll find in a moving box you haven't opened in 10 years! No idea what the value is, though I remember these were selling for $200 many years ago. Good condition, no split seams, some tarnish on the metal parts. Could be spiffed up with a good cleaning by someone who knows how to do that safely. $150 + $15 shipping U.S. addresses. I can take Zelle or PayPal Tell me if I'm off base on the price. I couldn't find any sales on Reverb or eBay.4 points

I had this one in the early 2000's . Bought it off of Harmony Central when the classified were just a stream of text. Looked like a dos window. I think I paid $750 from someone out east. The whole time I had it I didn't realize it was made for Scotty Hill from Skid row. It was a flat top Sunburst with a cool arm bevel. One volume. Had a skinny neck. It one my short list of guitars I should have never sold.4 points

Subscribed! For those new to the forum, @santellavision is keeper of all the best toys. When you buy from him, they're packed for war (he's the MOBW, after all) and in pristine condition. Like many, I find myself in my own senior-life paring down, but the temptation from this purge will likely get me to actually buy gear again!3 points

You need a Willie Nelson style strap that goes around your neck. Make it gold to look like you are wearing an oversized chain with a gold guitar hanging from it.2 points

He's still amazing and one of a kind. You hear him and instantly know it's him. That's what everyone should strive for, be yourself, find a sound and style and be unique.2 points

I've seen him twice in a now defunct dive called The Handlebar in Greenville, but that been about 20, and 25 years ago. He was always great! Saw Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown there too, around the same time. They always had great acts, and it was a small venue. ETA: Robin made a huge impression on me at 15 when I saw him on TV (don't recall if it was Don Kirshners, SNL, or what), but he was playing a new track 'Somebody Calling' off of In City Dreams.1 point

I bought one of these for the Standard Bass and it wasn't long enough. Wish it was because I liked the concept. It's definitely long enough for a guitar though.1 point

Here's an interesting guitar that came across my radar. It's A Terada built small body semi hollow. It's slightly smaller than a 339. The body is 2 piece Korina that's been hollowed out leaving a center block. The body and f hole binding is tortoise shell which is a nice contrast with the light burst finish on the top. The neck is Korina with a comfortable medium C carve. It's in really good shape and plays nicely. Tone is clear and crisp. From what I can tell, Rozalia is a brand that was made for the Musicland Key store in Japan. There's no serial number or identification, but from my digging I think it's from around 2015.1 point

And THANKS EVERYBODY for pointing me in the right direction(s). I am by no means an amp repairman and sometimes scare myself with shit I'm about to try. It's nice to get lucky every once in awhile.1 point

But didn't Ed get the black and white design from the Dils' guitarist (a Les Paul IIRC)? Amazing how much time I've "invested" reading about one guitar!1 point

Are you certain on the Danelectro scale length? My '56 with the same headstock was 25.5" scale. They made them in 25," 25.5" and a ton of them in 23."1 point
