  1. Hi from the beautiful Milano, Italia this baby has to go, too much stuff in this appartment... 1993 Hamer Special, excellent shape, some small dings but nothing really visible except a small crack in the varnish at the neck junction (just the paint, nothing structural) original Hardshell case, in very good condition slim neck, Schaller tuners MODS : -Lollar neck P90 -I put the original neck PU (SD SP90-2n MJ) in the bridge position (polarity changed for phase purposes) I love that PU in this position, the original bridge PU was sold -knobs changed but I have the original ones -copper shielded cavity -wiring with 1 Vol and 2 tone, as I like it happy to ship to HFC members with anticipated paypal F&F, vivible in Milano or France (I travel a lot between IT and FR) thinking of 1400 EUR + shipping, I paid 1600 EUR 5 years ago to a french fellow and didn't use it that much as my beloved Newport Pro is still N°1 take care!

  3. If Gibson or Fender had it, it’d be labeled “mojo”.

  4. Somebody buy this before I have to. I've been watching this thing since the price was nearly double what it is now. I even had a special offer a week ago that was something like $1,399. Hamer Chaparral 1987 - Blue Sparkle Made In USA | Reverb Really? $1,100? And it's blue - you guys and your blue guitars!

  5. Kind of humorous that FMIC is using Birds brothers as attorneys to go after PRS.

  6. Aw man. I was fortunate to have many long chats and even met up with Johnny B. IRL over the years. He will truly be missed around here...

  7. I'm sorry to hear this sad news. Johnny's posts were always entertaining, and his advice sound. I have speakers he recommended, and have missed reading his posts for several years. He was a good part of the HFC. Someone has to say it in Johnny's memory: Ringo was a great drummer.

  8. I'm so glad I got to meet you guys in Seattle in what, the summer of 2010? Thanks for posting the goofball pic of us, Peso; I immediately was going to look for that one. RIP, Johnny. I already miss your recommendations on stereo equipment. The receiver I'm using right now was one of your recommendations here on this board, many years ago.

  9. I traded a Custom shop Charvel, an 86 SG and a Chaparral that may or may not have had a neck repair even up. I didn’t really gig with any of them so….. and, the Firebird will be going out Friday night to a gig !!

  11. 3 9143, bought new in 1983 from Evans Music City in Houston, Texas. I had to special order it to get the Floyd. (Hopefully the picture is visible. I don't seem to be able to upload photos at the moment, so this is an Imgur link.)

  12. Here I am offering a 1992 Hamer Special P-90. The third I have owned. These are great no frill players guitars. This one has the TV finish, tending more toward the natural side than fully yellow. So, pinkish-a common color on these guitars. In the photo album below you'll see that Parkway got a redder finish in their pictures(indoors under lights). . My pics are yellower (in the case pictures) and are at least in daylight, more accurate. This is an attractive guitar with 30 years of respectable wear on it. Fret wear is minimal, just a bit on 1-3. Finish is fine. Some lacquer checking at the heel as usual. Some abrasions through the finish on the corners of the headstock both faces. Other than that it's in VG++++condition. Pickups are original as far as I know with black covers. Neck is tending toward thinner rather than chunky and has a nice feel. This guitar plays wonderfully and sounds really fine. I want to get $1150.00 including shipping. Payment via either a check, cashiers check, or paypal if you don't mind adding 3 percent on that platform. PM me here. 14. It's kind of an indication of how the guitar was treated, ever tried loosening seized up Floyd Rose parts?.. the controls may have issues as well and not spending an hour or two of cleaning it up just bothers the living piss out of me... sometimes cheap is not always better 🤷

  18. I would view selling something here as being either a quick sale or trade kind of deal. My guitar will be for sale at a friend’s booth so I will not be carrying it in. Lugging gear at one of these would not be my choice of fun.

  19. No problem. I don't have one just thought it was a good price.

  23. DON'T DO IT. When the zipper breaks just after a year - and it will - they'll tell you 'Sorry, not covered under warranty'. What good is a great case if it can't be closed after a year of light use?? Sorry, mathman. Gator reeeeeeally pissed me off. Fuckers.

  24. Just go straight for a new car. She'll be so pissed about a car payment that she'll never notice a guitar.

  25. Awe damn. He is responsible for some of the better gear around here and was my go-to for any audio questions that came up. He taught me a lot. Always willing to compare and share and point you to the best bang-for-the-buck. And he always found great deals. He has been missed for some time now. Wherever you are JB, I hope you have their system tweaked and turned up to 11. R.I.P., JohnnyB.

  38. Atta' kid. I've paid too much for some of the best guitars on the planet (IMHO). I let their market value "catch up" to what I paid. Enjoy!

  39. sounds like something I would have appreciated as a kid, piano was nearly torture! My kids also didn't enjoy the year or so of piano we put them through. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/piano-students-sweep-national-competitions-after-learning-payam-method-60-minutes-transcript/
