Billy Gibbons'........just to see what it really is........

There are those bands with low stage volume and in-ear monitors.  Some bands have Axe-FX units.  A tiny amp might be mic'ed while phony stacks are lined up behind the band.

In the Premier Guitar rig rundown of AC/DC it was said that Angus hears his amps all across stage, even when he goes down the runway.  THAT would be the arena rig to try out.

Mine............ in an arena.

If you've never experienced it, it's a trip. Your goosebumps get goosebumps.

I'd prefer mine, since I haven't been interested in someone else's rig. I'd love to jam with people using old stuff. Ludwig Octaplus, Fender P-Bass into an SVT and 8x10" cab, Rhodes, Clavinet, Moog, Hammond organ, Mellotron. I myself would love to use my own amps with four 4x12" Mesa Boogie halfback cabs with Celestion C90 and EV12. Someone else also on guitar would be cool too, and then having a jam as if it was the late-60's/early-70's again. But I must admit, I don't think I'd be an arena player. I'd prefer a medium club with full audience :D

Brian May for sure. As simple as it is. A soundcheck with the ol' lady would be priceless.

Steve Vai's rig would be great too. Maybe Gilmour. He's got some great sounds on his board to try.

David Gilmour's rig in the 80s and 90s.

And of course Angus and Malcolm Young's rigs back in the late 70s early 80s.

Also, who the heck doesn't want to play on Hendrix's woodstock rig? It sounded great.

Man oh man, lots:  I'd have to say both Angus' and Malcolm's rigs.   Rick Nielsen.   Randy Rhoads.  Steve Stevens.  Tom Scholz and Barry Goudreau in the original Boston period.  David Gilmour.  Brian May.  Ritchie Blackmore from about 1973.  Jimmy Page.   Tipton/Downing in the mid to late 80s.  Michael Schenker.   Metallica's Ride the Lightning rigs.   Jake E Lee's Ozzy or Badlands setup.  The Queensryche Empire rigs.  SRV's In Step setup.  EVH.  George Lynch.

Angus & Malcolm Young, around High Way to hell and Back in Black.

I actually gave the question some thought and couldn't come up with anyone because I figured I'd just be disappointed when I didn't sound like them.

You're answer is perfect and I claim it as my own.

This question was so hard for me to answer I literally decided to get back to work.  :-/

Work?  That sounds awful.

I'll be different and say Alex Lifeson, Hemispheres tour 1978. ES-355, Boss CE-1, and a wall of Hiwatts (and then I could see what he was using for a booster at that time, if anything)

This one!

And this one, if I could get the whole band to come along:

And if I could, just for a minute, it'd be great to plug into this monstrosity and rip out my (pitiful) version of the 2112 Overture:
