The Vega trem is really spectacular. I have them in two Mirages and they have incredibly smooth feel and great tuning stability. Install is pretty painless as long as you have the proper version for the trem you are replacing (4 screw or 2 post). I need to go into my guitars with a sanding block to relieve the cavity a bit for more up pull but in a stock trem cavity they have great range. https://imgur.com/a/iZVKKIQ3 points

I bought a "Bikini Sunset" Jackson Fusion from that guy back before the pandemic. Actually put a bid in that got accepted while playing a gig. I kept thinking about it while I was playing, and after a couple of drinks to make what was probably a bad decision seem like a good one, I started haggling between songs.3 points

... at least at my home: Recently I discovered this beautiful neon sign (not LED!). I suspect that it is from the 80s or 90s. I even had to buy a step-down transformer to be able to use it. Amazing that it survived all these years unharmed. With more than 40 Hamer guitars in my collection, it seemed to me to be the cherry on top. I hope you like it too.2 points

I thought the Suhr was white with a small blue square housing a question mark. That's not it? Same issue here, though.2 points

Great guitarist who is always been on my list of favorites. Still going strong and making and performing great music. I saw him wayyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day with the first band he was in called MARIANI which was a Blues, Psych, Rock group. Then, he was on to Fusion in the Electromagnets. What a talented and great guy, soft spoken, humble, and funny.2 points

The crinkly giveaway (made in Vietnam) giveaway/Promo jackets were definitely sized 2-3 sizes smaller than advertised. I had an XL that was too small for my 4 year old at the time… I believe the nicer, heavyweight jackets with the leather sleeves are spot on size wise. I’ve got a pretty rare Dealer version, black/black sleeves that I don’t believe I’ve ever worn and I bought it new back in 1999-2000. Definitely nice!2 points

I've been using a Player Tele almost exclusively for gigs the past few years. Covers all the styles from country to pop to rock and you don't have to worry about dings and wear. Don't have to hassle switching guitars in the middle of a set. Last night I took my 2002 Studio Custom and played it the last set. Maybe not as good for country tones but still very good. There were several highlights that will make me take it out more often. The appearance is fantastic. The vintage natural flame top looked great under the light, much more dynamic than at home. Last song was a rock inspired House of the Rising Sun jam. The woody tone from the neck pickup was great for the first lead, not available on a standard Tele. Second lead was on the bridge pickup with a wah, that tone really stood out. Pickups are @JGravelin Ultimates with UOA5 magnets and slight tweaks, most excellent. I'm at the point where I feel guilty having nice guitars and not playing them. Not worried about honest light wear from playing. The more you play them the better they sound and play, I'll still use the Tele most due to the song mix of the band. The Hamer and Les Paul will be getting more playing time.2 points

All I did was click the link to display the photo in a browser window, right click the image and choose Copy Image Address and paste the address into this window. Looking at the pasted URL (using the Source button, top left of this window) shows the pasted URL is: "https://i.imgur.com/KMeOqdw.jpeg" compared to your URL, above, "https://imgur.com/a/RXIhLaT#KMeOqdw" Not sure how that URL relates, but clicking it does get me to the picture. It just seems to be read by the board as a hyperlink rather than the photo (notice my URL ends in .jpeg). Try displaying the photo in a browser window, right clicking the picture and choosing Copy Image Address, then paste that URL in the board window. That should work.2 points

My brother's band just released their latest music video, and I thought you guys might enjoy. No Hamer content here, but my bro plays a pretty tasty solo on this one. ...However, there IS some Hamer content in the acoustic version they did of the first single "Goin' Crazy;" the bass player is playing my brother's fretless cruisebass (i think?)1 point

I bought a mint Anderson from their Federal location about two weeks ago. It's stupidly good.1 point

While I lean to the Les Paul tone, the other Studio Custom tone possibilities are worth exploring. Mine has great resonance you can feel in the wood and strings. Maybe due to a thinner body and, of course, great wood selection. It would be fun trying different pickups, coil taps, etc. to see what gets translated to the amp.1 point

Off topic but definitely something FUBAR about the new host's photo situation on this end. I cannot post photos unless I copy and paste into an edit and I cannot see nor open Shark's pics of his new Suhr. Bollocks!1 point

Yup. I tell my guitar buddies my Triple Threat is the best Les Paul I've ever had. : ) "Less bottom end" is a good description, but in the band and in a mix, it does just fine.1 point

I went and looked at the t 62, the first 5 frets bellow the g string were just destroyed, the rest of it was clean. I could have bought it for 1700 otd, I passed.1 point

The Les Paul’s bottom end is fuller, with or without an amp. Similar in other ways like hum buckets and overall sound. With overdrive/distortion and tweaking amp tone controls, you couldn’t tell a difference between the Studio Custom and the Les Paul in a listening test. The fit of the guitar on your body, location of controls are the most different.1 point

I LOVE orange guitars . But 10k…NFW. But then again, they aren’t making any more are they??? So glad 0006 scratches that itch.1 point

It's funny and entertaining, but not sure I would buy as I always question the seller's mental stability 🤔1 point

It only takes a couple of sentences to determine it's a listing from Grinning Elk.1 point

I did it on purpose to try to draw out a certain curmudgeon that lurks here. Now, that's torn asunder. 😆1 point

It's not even OCD. Only a deranged maniac would list all of that in paragraph form.1 point

No, I haven't created a list yet. But I'm planning to move to a larger home next year (near Koblenz) with more space for the guitars. So this is an invitation to you to visit me and the Hamers.1 point
